 Name: Mialeena "Mia" Ayeema
 Species: Anthropomorphic Cat
 Age: 30
 Gender: Female
 Sex:  Female
 Bond:  n/a
 Sponsorlings/Wards:  n/a
 Birthplace:  Sitheil Tirean
Current Residence:  Sitheil Tirean, Splintyr Residential Sector
Appearance/Color/Markings:  Gray tuxedo coat pattern/color with long, straight brown head-hair (somewhat ususual in Sitheil Tirean's anthropomorphic animal population.) Eyes are dark green. Wears corrective lenses.
 Height:  5'6"
Personality:  Mia is headstrong, firm, and unwavering as only a lifelong teacher-of-children can be. She is kind and polite, but will not back down from her convictions or decisions if pushed to do so. She has a near-obsession with tea, and often begs Lakota to keep an eye out for new varieties/species of tea when Lakota visits other worlds/dimensions via the Gates (something Lakota is happy to do, as she is also fond of tea.) Mia owns way too many tea mugs (we all know that even the most fanatical tea fan only needs 4 or so in order to ensure that one always has a clean mug ready), but Mia claims that collecting mugs is her "only" hobby. Alas, anyone who knows Mia knows that this is not true, as she also "collects" (so to speak) any stray critters she finds wandering, hungry and ownerless, on the streets of Splintyr's residential sector.
History/Backstory:  Mia was born on Sitheil Tirean. She had what most people would consider a "normal" and healthy childhood, with both parents alive, present, and loving, and two siblings that - miraculously - all got along well with each other. Mia loved "baby" dolls when she was a kitten herself, and was one of those young girls who - by the time they are six years old - had planned out her future elaborate wedding and a happy life with 10 children. She loved babies and children even as she got older, and eventually became a teacher - her lifelong dream job - of the young offspring of her fellow anthropomorphic critters.

In her early 20s, several years into her career as a teacher, she had a Gate-scout named Aragh come to the school to speak to the children about the Gates and the careers associated with working with the Gates. He was a handsome wolf only a few years older than her, and for Mia, it was love at first sight.

Her students noticed her moon-eyed stares at him while he talked to them about the Gates and his job, and after he had left the school, her students pestered their teacher mercilessly to ask the handsome wolf out on a date. (Mia questioned how they even knew what "dates" were.) But she acknowledged that they had a point - he WAS quite handsome, and had been thoughtful, kind, and patient with the children's questions.

She visited the Gate sector on her next day off, found Aragh there preparing for an excursion several days hence, and used up every molecule of her bravery to ask him on a date. Turns out, he had found her quite pretty and attractive as well, and the two began dating (as best they could around his scouting job requirements.)

They were very happy together, and Aragh was promoted several times and eventually became a Head Gate-scout. He immediately proposed to Mia since he now felt secure in regards to his job and income (though she would have accepted his proposal even if he had still been a regular scout.)

She wanted to postpone the wedding until her current teaching-year went on hiatus for the summer, which Aragh happily agreed to. He had several scheduled Gate excursions in the meantime, which he viewed as opportunities to earn enough money to purchase a home in the residential sector that was big enough for the large family they both were looking forward to having. But Aragh's entire Gate party vanished without a trace on their very next excursion.

Lakota sent a second party through the same Gate in the hopes of finding the missing scouting party, but the rescuers returned with the news that the Gate had changed end-locations - meaning it no longer led to where it had led to before, when Aragh's party had gone through.

To her credit, Mia did not become hysterical, nor did she demand that Lakota keep sending out search and rescue parties, nor did she try to enter the Gate herself. She still had a job to do - teach the youth of Sitheil Tirean - and despite her internal panic and grief, she knew she could not abandon her duties and still live with herself. Aragh would have understood this, and that gave her a small measure of comfort in the months after his disappearance.

Today, years later, Mia has not truly given up hope that she will see Aragh again. The Gates are magical portals to other worlds and dimensions, after all, and the original Gate - or another one - could still someday reconnect to the world where Aragh was lost, and he could still come home.

She does, however, find herself increasingly lonely as the years pass - she is not interested in seeing anyone new or marrying anyone other than Aragh, but she is so very, very lonely.
